Biography of Geneviève Young

Genevieve Young has been a member of Women in Film, Television and New Media since 2009 and she is also a member of the Independent Journalists Association of Quebec (AJIQ).

Through her video reports and articles, Geneviève seeks to:

- Recognize the difference, color, essence and uniqueness of each person as well as highlight their gifts, talents, creativity and potential.
- Feature empowering stories of self-realization and emphasize the importance of compassion and collaboration.
On September 22,  2012, Geneviève launched the " Dreamclass " movement. Through the Dreamclass, Geneviève and her facilitators are on a mission to create a safe space for people to meet, to connect, to name and to share their dream publicly in order to accelerate its manifestation.
A Dreamclass is an event that combines a game, a conference and a workshop in a fun, dynamic environment that can propulse each participant towards their self-realization.

In recent years, Geneviève Young has been interviewed twice by the Oprah Winfrey Network.

In her first interview, Geneviève talked about how the Oprah Winfrey Network had a positive impact on her life and how it helped to inspire the Dreamclass concept.

Geneviève was also interviewed during an Oprah Lifeclass on Colorism. She was able to share her unique perspective on the effects of discrimination related to the color of a person’s skin.

Trainer - Facilitator
She has been a trainer and facilitator who helps people to reach their full potential, both personally and professionally, since 1990.
Geneviève has written five books. (Four in French et 1 in English)
Speaker - Organizer 
She loves to bring people together and help groups of people rally around a common goal and achieve personal growth.
She is currently living her dream of living in Canada and in the Caribbean. You could even visit her on 'her island' in San Salvador, Bahamas. She has a small resort that can accommodate a group of 30-40 people and organizes seminars to foster more joy and expansion in people's life. Visit:

Journalist - Columnist
Geneviève published her own magazine for a little over two years and she was also a columnist for the “Courrier Ste Thérèse” (Transcontinental Media GP).
She is now a regular contributor to Living Magazine (France and Quebec) where she enjoys highlighting the beauty of humanity.
Producer and Talk-Show Host 
Geneviève produced and hosted a television program, which allowed women to come together to help each other to realize life projects or dreams. Les Dires de Geneviève Young was broadcasted across Quebec on channels such as TVBL,  TCLL, TVC9, LHVT, TVC Argenteuil TVLDM / Canal Vox and TV Frontenac from 2009 to 2011.
In 2012, she created a Web - TV series “The present of the past”.

In 2016, she produced and hosted a Talk show "UBUNTU" on ICI TV.

Entrepreneur at heart

Genevieve Young studied Computer Sciences in Ottawa, launched her first business in 1992 and later moved to the Lower Laurentians.

After completing a University degree in management studies while working full time, Geneviève realized that she was an entrepreneur at heart and launched her second company in 2001.

Thanks to her involvement in the business world, Genveviève is a board member of several committees and business groups such as the Thérèse de Blainville and the Mirabel Chambers of commerce, The Thérèse-de- Blainville Carrefour Jeunesse emploi, the Community Access micro- credit Fund and the Laurentians Youth Forum.

Geneviève is passionate about entrepreneurship and she has shared her extensive knowledge and experience in sales and marketing by providing training for new entrepreneurs through the Mirabel and Deux-Montagnes CLD and SODET. She has also taught the “Starting a Business” course through the Seigneurie des Milles Isles School Board.

  • President of the Quebec Business Women’s Network - Lower Laurentians sector

  • Initiator and Director of the Green Mirabel project. A small business group that manufactured and sold eco-friendly bags in order to raise money to support Mirabel Youth Programs.

  • Member of the Institute for Cooperation on Adult Education (ICEA)


  • Recipient of the "Leadership Duo" award by Les Affaires.
